The company’s current Basic PVR is an advanced hardware platform which allows the distribution of a large number of very innovative services. PVRs are a new class of home electronic equipment which include a range of the functions of other devices at the same time as they provide countless new applications. For example: It has a double DTT tuner with which you can record two different channels at the same time, while also watching a third recorded programme.
It provides a detailed Electronic Programming Guide (EPG) service for 7 days for all DTT channels with a unique and patented feature, it is synchronised in real time, which means that if, for example, a tennis match goes on longer than expected and reaches 5 sets, a conventional EPG would not have forecast the change in timetabling which would involve until such time as the EPG had been updated. - Using the Synchroguide TV® system the EPG updates in real time the start and end of the various programmes as they actually happen, so that the recordings are made correctly.

Basic Devices: InOut TV Zappers
- The basic Zappers or STB simply allows viewers to change DTT channels (Satellite digital channels for German market) but it doesn’t provide access to interactive services. There are nowadays a lot of zappers which claim EPG as one of their features, but they don’t actually contain a Programming Guide and can only show on the screen the programme data which the networks provide with their TV signal which currently has very low accuracy and quality of information. The only zappers which include a complete guide with information about all the networks and all the programmes are those which are fitted with the InOut TV Guide. Every day our company works out and transmits its programme guide by DTT to these zappers.

The spectacular sales of zappers with InOut TV’s Electronic Programming Guide have been an important source of revenue and positioning of our brand in the market. In addition, many end customers who have already bought a basic DTT zappers are potential customers for the PVRs. InOut TV – Siemens Gigaset zappers are the leaders in this category in the Spanish market.
InOutTV advanced zappers for digital television reception have not so much capabilities and value added services like a PVR, which internal hard drive permits more value added services like Video-on-demand or one-click-recording, but have some advanced functions that permits for example High Definition reception, Widgets on TV, HDMI or DVD player. This added features p ermits to place this product category at a higher market segment in a middle stage between basic zapper and PVR users.
